We have had so many choice blessings on our mission. Pne of them is being able to visit the Bishop's storehouse and pick up food orders. One it is great to serve but it is also great to see all of that food that is available. Much of it is produced at church farms and canned at church canneries. Everytime I look at a can I think about all of the hours of donated labor that went into producing it. It makes me think about how effective our fast offering dollars are.
Another choice blessing is being able to attend the temple while we are on our mission. The senior couples have a lot more flexibility. We've gone twice in the two months we've been here. This is the Vancouver British Columbia Temple. It is only about an hour from Bellingham but since it is out of the mission as well as out of the country we had to get permission from the Mission President. He was very generous. It was our ward's night to clean the temple so we got to do initiatories and clean the temple. It was awesome.
As you can see spring has arrived in Bellingham. It was a beautiful Easter with lots of sunshine and bright flowers. It was even better as several inactives attended church. It is so fun to teach with the elders. The dog is being a distraction while one of the the missionaries is bearing his testimony so his companion picks up the dog and keeps him busy. They are a marvelous team.
